Support Early Childhood Literacy at Family Play Festival

Listed by Boulder Public Library District

About

Encourage families, babies and children (ages 0-5 years old) to practice early literacy skills! Each Spring, children and caregivers are invited to talk, play, sing, write, and read together at various library locations during Family Play Festival. Volunteers who are passionate about serving children and families, promoting literacy, and building a stronger community help host!

Volunteers welcome families and facilitate fun activities in Spanish and English. Families lead the way, practice learning literacy skills, and leave with new ideas. Staff and volunteers encourage participants to check out books at the library, attend future story times, and continue practicing literacy skills every day at home!

The ability to communicate in Spanish and English is helpful for this role, but fluency is not required. Instructions to volunteers will be provided in English.
